  • Scarcroft Quiet Garden

    Fri 19 Jul 2019 P. Edwards

Scarcroft now has a garden which will eventually provide a quiet, reflective space, complete with a reading shed for pupils to enjoy. The garden has been supported financially by Aviva, Yorkshire Water, and Yorkshire Wildlife Trust, for which we are very grateful. Staff from Yorkshire Water and Yorkshire Wildlife Trust constructed the planters, along with support from some of our parents. The garden got the "thumbs up" from Rachael Maskell, our local MP.

    Tue 09 Jul 2019 P. Edwards
Pupils from Scarcroft, Millthorpe, Knavesmire and York High took part in the inaugural South Bank MAT Youth Parliament today. Our young people took part in a range of discussions concerning Parks and Playgrounds, Transport, Mental Health, Crime and the Environment. They were supported by councillors from the City of York, leaders and members of various (youth) organisations, and staff from York St John University; many thanks to these individuals for supporting us. #chiRP #Responsible #Positive
